Cruiseship passengers, your best option is Lowlands & Edge of the Forest at El Yunque
National Forest for the 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM you should depart from San Juan Port to the
birding site not later than 7:30 AM, and 11:30 AM; for the 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM, flexible
itineraries. All birding trips for cruiseship birders are considered private.

Q I´m arriving at San Juan and want to see as many endemic bird species, where should I go?
A Your best option to go for endemic birds is El Yunque National Forest, $165 per birder, minimum 4, maximum 12 birders meeting us at El
Yunque on regular scheduled trips. This price includes transportation from/to El Portal de El Yunque Rain Forest Center.
Q Do you offer transportation to El Yunque?
A We are located ten minutes from El Portal de El Yunque Rain Forest Center where clients meet us fifteen minutes before the trip starts. It
will be less expensive for you if you take a taxi and meet us at El Portal since if we offer you the transfers, we have to assign a driver for at
least eight to nine hours as we are approximately one hour from San Juan Port (two 2 hrs. round trips, plus four hours of the bird outing).
Q Any suggestions?
A Any bird outing for cruise ship passengers is considered a private bird outing, specially if you need to start birding at any other time
different of our scheduled trips. As a customized bird outing, you can contact us via regular phone call Monday through Friday from
2:00 PM to 9:00 PM to discuss your options. If you arrive in the afternoon, please take into consideration that traffic can take longer to
arrive at El Yunque or returning to the ship, also, as sunset takes place earlier during Winter time this could affect the available birding
hours.
