Due to the number of people visiting El Yunque National Forest during the Holy Week/Weekend (Wednesday through Sunday, including Good Friday and Easter) and the month of July, we DO NOT OFFER tours to El Yunque other than the Night Hike and/or Ancestral Areyto. Access to the Forest is limited and we cannot guarantee the quality during those days.

"guariquén" Arawak word meaning "look" or "come here and see".
|
The good spirit 'Yocahú Bagua Maraocoti" reigned on the sacred mountain of Yuké, protecting the land of Borikén (Puerto Rico) and the Greater Antilles.

Ruta Taína @ El Yunque National Forest (Nocturnal Sounds Forest Bath)
|
What is better than a common day forest bath?
|
Our unique nocturnal sounds bath & areito at El Yunque
|
These were the first sounds heard by the Spanish Conquistadores when they invaded Borikén in 1493. The Conquistadores did not understand their language and wrongly named them Taínos. They were Eyeri people of Arawak origins.
Unique experience under the stars relaxing and energizing your Soul with the nocturnal sounds of the Forest and indigenous instruments.
|
One of the main things that distinguish our
service is our commitment with culture and its
connection with El Yunque. With this in mind, we
teamed up with Martín Veguilla, Consultant and in
charge of our Ancestral Areitos at the Forest.
These are offered only on a private basis in El
Yunque as well as other localities. The Areitos
are performed in Arawak language and under
the stars with or without rain. Translation to
English will be available.
