Martín "Ca Ciba Opil" Veguilla has been in charge of the Ancestral Areytos (Taíno ceremonies) at El Yunque
National Forest for more than ten years. In 2005 he was recognized as the Artisan of the Year by the Puerto
Rico Tourism Board. He is President of Concilio Taíno Guat-ma-cu a Borikén.

Volunteer of the Year (APIE, 2006). He also coordinates Caño Tiburones Bird Count. Until recently, he was

What can we say about Manolo? He is funny, people´s person, family guy, and excellent host. Manolo
worked hard in the reconstruction of Puerto Rico after hurricanes Irma and María as he is also a truck driver
carrying concrete lighting poles all around our territory. He is a hell of a driver!
