Many people ask if we look for the
Puerto Rican Parrot during our
birding programs.   Since we follow
best practices guidelines, we firmly
believe that we should not interfere
with the natural habitat of an
endangered species, specially
during its breeding season.

We strongly encourage all serious
birders to follow these guidelines.
  • 12 inches
  • white eye ring
  • red forehead
  • ivory colored beak
  • two-toned primaries
  • rounded tail
  • This endangered species is considered one of
    the rarest birds on Earth.
