Puerto Rico is part of the 34 Hotspots of biodiversity where almost 80% of
our mainland consists of mountains and hills.  In 1976, Monroe mentioned
three physiographic regions:  mountainous area, discontinuous coastal
plains and the karst belt.

As with our other outdoor adventure programs, we have carefully selected
the sites included on this section of our website for the uniqueness of each
site:  Sorbetos, Ventana, Vientos, Evaporada, and Lechuga caves, plus
Tanamá Rivera are located in the Northern Karstic Region (belt).

We have exclusive access to Lechuga Cave, where you can also camp the
night before for a real outdoor experience.

Join our caving leader (Certified Interpretive Tour Guide, biologist, First
Responder Certified, Trainer) in this journey through Puerto Rico´s
limestone belt, and explore our
mogotes (haystack-shaped hills), caves,
sinkholes, and underground rivers.

  • Limited capacity.
  • Private groups only.
  • Transportation included upon request.
  • Cave exploration
  • Rappelling
  • Tubing
  • River crossing
  • Zip line
  • Camping
