Porta del Sol is a sustainable economic development program created in
2003 by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company in partnership with the 17 towns
of the west region of Puerto Rico.
Established in 1992, AdvenTours main office is located in Mayagüez,
largest city of Porta del Sol. We are founders and members of ORO -
Operadores Receptivos del Oeste, Inc., a non-profit organization of
receptive tour operators committed to offer social and environmental
responsible tourism activities. Our efforts are focused in the direct
economic benefits of Porta del Sol and the contribution to environmental
and cultural conservation awareness. We aim to operate beyond best
practice guidelines.
We invite you to learn more about our natural and cultural heritage through
the eyes of one of our local Guides.
