Puerto Rico has 10% of the World´s
bioluminescent fungi. Yes, that´s
right, tiny glow in the dark fungi.
That means that seven of the 71
known species of fungi are found at
El Yunque National Forest.
During our night hikes you will have
the opportunity to see them glowing
in the dark. Plus, we will look
together for newborn coquís,
scorpions, lizards, geckos, boas,
spiders, and many other creatures
of the Forest.
When is the best time to see the
glow in the dark fungi?
Two or three nights after rainy
days, specially on moonless nights.
