| Adventures are non-competitive recreational outdoor activities that involve a high degree of physical and mental effort (body, mind, and soul) with a common element, risk. These activities are under the supervision of our trained staff following best practices principles to ensure low-impact in the natural environment they take place. |
| An "island" of contrasts With only 111 mi x 39 mi, the Archipelago of Puerto Rico consists of three physiographic regions: the karst belt, the mountainous area, and discontinuous coastal plains [Monroe, 1976]. As small as our national territory could be, we have a well developed system of caves and underground rivers, a tropical rain forest, the best subtropical dry forest on Earth, mangroves, estuaries, and much more. |
